Terms of Service

1. The agreement

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the operator of AI Writing Assistant (the "Service") at aiwritingassistant.net. By using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Billing & Refunds policy, which are part of them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

AI Writing Assistant provides browser‑based writing tools — including grammar checking, paraphrasing, summarizing, translating, tone adjustment, humanizing, AI detection, drafting, and utilities — powered in part by third‑party AI models. The set of tools may grow or change over time. Results are generated automatically and are provided to help you write; they are not professional advice.

3. Accounts

• You may use many tools as a guest. An account unlocks higher free limits and account features.
• You must provide accurate information, keep control of your email and sign‑in credentials, and be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required where you live).
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at info@aiwritingassistant.net if you believe your account is compromised.
• You can delete your account at any time from the Account page.

4. Plans and usage limits

Free plans (Guest and Free Account) and the paid Pro plan have per‑request, daily, and per‑minute limits described on the pricing page. "Unlimited" daily words on Pro is subject to a generous fair‑use policy that exists only to stop automated abuse — normal human writing, even heavy daily use, is never affected. We may adjust free limits and features over time; changes to paid plan limits or prices apply from your next billing period and we will give reasonable notice.

5. Billing, renewal, and refunds

Pro is a paid subscription billed monthly or annually. Checkout, invoicing, taxes, and refunds are operated by a dedicated payment provider acting as the seller of record; a paid plan activates only after a verified payment workflow, and your plan returns to free automatically when a subscription ends. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Full details — including our 14‑day money‑back guarantee and how to cancel — are in the Billing & Refunds policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• violate any law, or infringe anyone's intellectual‑property, privacy, or other rights;
• process content you have no right to submit (for example, another person's confidential material);
• create or spread malware, spam, deceptive or fraudulent content, or material that exploits or endangers minors;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent machine‑generated text where disclosure is legally required;
• probe, overload, scrape at scale, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or evade its usage limits;
• buy, sell, rent, share, or transfer accounts or subscriptions, or repeatedly purchase and refund to obtain paid features for free;
• resell or provide automated bulk access to the Service without our written permission.

We may throttle, suspend, or terminate access that threatens other users, the infrastructure, or the integrity of plan limits.

7. Your content and intellectual property

• Your input stays yours. You retain all rights you hold in text you submit. You give us only the limited permission needed to process it and return results — your documents are not stored and are never used by us to train AI models.
• Output. As between you and us, we claim no ownership of the results generated for you. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on or publishing it, including checking it does not infringe third‑party rights.
• Our property. The website, design, branding, and underlying software remain protected by intellectual‑property law and are not licensed to you except as needed to use the Service normally.

8. About AI results

AI‑generated or AI‑analyzed results can be incomplete, out of date, inaccurate, or biased. Always verify facts, names, quotations, numbers, and legal, medical, or financial content with qualified sources before using them.

9. Advertising on free plans

Free plans are supported by advertising (Google AdSense). Pro is ad‑free. Advertisers do not receive your documents; advertising cookies are described in the Cookie Policy.

10. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service fast and available but provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis — maintenance, upstream model provider outages, or events beyond our control can interrupt it. We may add, change, or retire features; if we discontinue a paid feature material to your subscription, you may cancel and the refund policy applies.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these Terms, creates risk for the Service or other users, or where the law requires. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability) survive termination.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non‑infringement; and our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any 12‑month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period (or, if you have paid nothing, to zero).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects statutory consumer rights that apply in your country of residence.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of the Service is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer‑protection rules of the country where you live. Disputes will be resolved in the courts competent under those rules.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. The date above identifies the current version; material changes will be reflected on this page with reasonable notice. Using the Service after a change takes effect means the updated Terms apply.
