The reason goes missing
Summaries keep what happened and often drop why. Our run lost why parents asked for the center. If the reason matters, add it back.
Let’s summarize!
Paste an article, report, email thread or notes — or upload a Word, PDF or text file. Long documents are welcome.
This is our summarizer with Filipino / Tagalog already picked. Paste a Tagalog article, a module, a notice or your own notes, and you get a short summary in Tagalog. You can also ask for key points or for the most important sentences quoted word for word. It's free and you don't need an account.
Below you'll find a real Tagalog run and what it kept and dropped, plus a few things to check before you use a summary in school or at work.
Paste the Tagalog text, keep Filipino / Tagalog selected, pick Paragraph, Key points or Key sentences, and press Summarize. Then read the summary against the original. By hand it works the same as in English: read it all, find the main point, keep the few facts that support it, and write it in your own words.
A real run of the summarizer, printed unedited.
A guest run with no account. Generated by the summarizer on 30 September 2026 with Filipino / Tagalog selected, in Paragraph style at Short with the TL;DR line on, printed here unedited.
I-paste ang iyong teksto sa kahon, o mag-upload ng PDF, Word o TXT na file.
Naka-set na sa Filipino / Tagalog ang wika sa page na ito. Piliin kung Paragraph, Key points o Key sentences ang gusto mo, at kung Short o Medium ang haba.
Pindutin ang Summarize. Basahin ang buod at ihambing ito sa orihinal bago mo gamitin.
Paragraph gives you a short read in full sentences. It's the one to use when you just want to know what a text says.
Key points gives you a list. It suits a reviewer for a quiz, notes from a long module, or a quick message to a group chat.
Key sentences doesn't write anything new. It picks the most important sentences and copies them exactly, so you keep the author's own Tagalog words. Use it when you'll quote the text in an assignment.
With Filipino / Tagalog selected, the summary is written in Tagalog, so English words from a Taglish text may come back in Tagalog. If you'd rather keep the mix of English and Tagalog you wrote in, set the language to Auto detect before you summarize.
The summarizer keeps the language you give it. For an English summary of a Tagalog text, translate it first with the Tagalog to English translator, then summarize the English. Or summarize in Tagalog and translate the short version, which is quicker for long texts.
Cebuano and other Philippine languages aren't in the summarizer's language list yet, so a summary of Bisaya text may not be reliable. The translator does handle Cebuano.
It's free. You can summarize up to 500 words a run as a guest, 1,500 with a free account and 5,000 on Pro. Guests get 3,500 words a day across all the tools.
Paragraph, Key points and Key sentences are free at Short and Medium length. Custom style and the Long length come with Pro. Short aims for about a third of your text and Medium for about half.
Summaries keep what happened and often drop why. Our run lost why parents asked for the center. If the reason matters, add it back.
“Tatlumpung bata” became “30 bata”. The number is right, but the style changed. Match the original if the text is formal.
“Lang” became “lamang”. The meaning is the same, but it sounds more formal. For a chat or a caption, change it back.
Rules like “uunahin ang Grade 1 hanggang Grade 3 kung marami ang magpaparehistro” only apply in some cases. Check that the “kung” part survived.
If you summarize Tagalog you don't understand well, ask someone who does to check the summary before you rely on it.
Yes, this one. You can use it without an account, up to 500 words a run as a guest and 1,500 with a free account.
Yes. With Filipino / Tagalog selected the summary is written in Tagalog. To keep your mix of English and Tagalog, use Auto detect instead.
Not in one step. Translate the text with the Tagalog to English translator first, then summarize it, or summarize in Tagalog and translate the summary.
Yes. Upload the PDF or Word file and the text is read from it. For a long module, do it one lesson at a time.
Short aims for about a third of your text and Medium for about half. Turn on the TL;DR line for a one-sentence version.
Not reliably yet, because Cebuano isn't in the summarizer's language list. The translator does support Cebuano.
Summarizing to understand a text is fine. If you put a summary of someone else's work in an assignment, cite the source, even though the words are new.
