Wpadniesz w sobotę na grilla? became "Are you coming over for a barbecue on Saturday?" Wpaść, literally to fall in, means to drop by, and grill in Polish is the whole outdoor get-together, not only the device. Both were read correctly.

Polish institutions have their own names, and the nearest English is often a description rather than an equivalent. The school notice shows this twice, with świetlica and dziennik elektroniczny. Names that change their endings

Polish declines first names and surnames like any other noun. The same Tomek appears as Tomka, Tomkowi, Tomkiem or Tomku depending on his role in the sentence, and the English needs his dictionary form every time. Czy Pan mógłby is "Could you", not "Could the gentleman". If the English suddenly talks about a sir or a lady who is plainly the reader, the polite you has been read as he or she.

A name left in its case form

Tomkiem, Ani or Kowalskiej in an English sentence means the ending was copied across. Put the name back in its basic form before anyone tries to look the person up.
